Catapult Add-ons Utilities for
Proficy iFix - Catapult has developed a suite
of add-on modules for GE Intelligent Platforms’s Proficy
iFIX, making operating iFIX even easier, more
intuitive and
more powerful:
Catapult Menu
for iFIX - is a complete navigation system
for any Proficy HMI/SCADA - iFIX from GE Intelligent Platforms.
Menu can be added to a new or existing iFIX
system and is immediately intuitive to any Microsoft
user. Navigation functions include “Back”,
“Forward”, Favorites” and
“Home”; links to standard iFIX functions
and operations, VBA triggers and navigation
to any iFIX pictures.
Menu for iFIX even provides automatic picture
inclusion, so new pictures can be immediately
and automatically added into just the right
place in the menu
Events for iFIX
adds enhanced event services to any Proficy
HMI/SCADA - iFIX from GE Intelligent Platforms. Events for iFIX
provides real-time and historical event recording.
This gives
utilities the ability to record and report on
events for regulatory and accountability purposes.
Events for iFIX provides a comprehensive, long
term record of operator and system activity,
including:
- Operator controls
- Operator event messages
- Changes to and from alarm conditions
- Changes of state to and from non-alarm conditions
- Sequence of Events (SOEs) timed stamped
to 1ms
- Apply or remove Control Tag or Information
Tag
- Apply or remove Manual Overwrite
- Apply or remove Alarm Disable
- Points that have been placed off or on scan
- Notes that have been added to the system
Catapult Server Redundancy
for iFIX - provides the reliability of
two iFIX SCADA servers
in a redundant configuration with automatic
fail-over. The Server Redundancy Module is required
when your iFIX system includes processes that
cannot run simultaneously on both servers.
Server Redundancy ensures critical software
processes only run on their preferred server,
avoiding the conflicts of them being run in
two places at once. Both servers run as full
iFIX servers in the normal way. SRM monitors
both servers through either single or dual LAN
connections. Failure of a server triggers SRM
to start the missing processes on the remaining
server. While iFIX alarms will alert users to
the fail-over, the process itself is fully automatic.
- Automation Interface -
The Server Redundancy Module provides an (OLE)
automation interface. This allows it to be
controlled from within the iFIX Workspace
environment using Visual Basic for Applications
(VBA).
- Fail-over notification
- iFIX alarms notify operators of fail-over
incidents.
- Fail-over recording - In
an iPower system, or iFIX system running Catapult
Events Module, the migration of process between
servers is recorded in the Events list.
Pan & Zoom for
iFIX easily achieves an intuitive operator
interface for any Proficy HMI/SCADA - iFIX from
GE Intelligent Platforms. Pan and zoom with automatic clutter/declutter
greatly enhances operational effectiveness,
helps avoid information overload and provide
a natural method to navigate the most complex
of systems, all without losing easy access to
all useful information.
A “zoomed-out” display provides
an overview, only showing the most critical
information. When operators see a problem they
can zoom in on it, automatically revealing more
detailed data. Intelligent use of zoom and layering
can greatly enhance the operational effectiveness.
Information overload is avoided, without losing
easy access to all useful information.
