Overview
The Proficy Real-Time Information Portal course
is designed to provide the student with
a good working knowledge of Proficy Portal. The course
includes lab time for configuring and applying
the Proficy Portal software to process applications.
Participants
This course is designed for process, automation,
or instrumentation engineers, system integrators
and any other information technology (IT) professionals
who will be developing, configuring, and using
Proficy Portal applications.

Prerequisites
Participants should have a working knowledge
of Windows 2000, and/or Windows XP operating
systems.
Upon completion of this
Course, the student will be able to:
- Understand architecture and communication
between the Proficy Portal Server and Portal Clients.
- Installation and configuration of an Proficy Portal
Server, including the configuration and building
of an Proficy Portal security strategy.
- Create Proficy Portal displays using basic
graphic objects, datalinks, grids, form components,
event charts, and XY charts.
- Connect to and retrieve data from a variety
of data sources.
